The fatigue finally lifted yesterday. I guess I was just really tired. I highly recommend periodic vacations. They"re good for resting and recharging.
I cleaned my house (which I hadn"t done in an embarassingly long time.), hauled away a bunch of garbage, vaccuumed, dusted, swept, mopped, organized, and generally finally got things taken care of. I"m now left with the biggest pile of laundry ever! That"s today"s project, along with getting my oil changed, taking 10 boxes to goodwill, and going to work (just for a couple of hours, I still have a week of vacation left). I"m just a bit of a slow starter this morning, because I stayed up until 3am enjoying my clean house. I should look into getting a house cleaner. I know, it"s the wussy way out, but I love having a clean house so much, and if someone else did the actual cleaning, I could spend more time organizing (and goofing off!). The other thing (and this is not for the squeamish, is that in vacuuming, I vacuumed up so much cat hair (I only have 2 cats, I"m not a crazy-cat-lady (yet?)) that it filled my vacuum canister a couple of times. I can already tell that my allergies and asthma are grateful; but it got me thinking, wouldn"t it be easier to vacuum the cats instead? Hah.
I also booked a trip to Chicago for a couple of days. Hey, the price was right, I"ve never been (except for O"Hare airport, and that doesn"t count), and what the heck, I"m on vacation!
I also finally went back to Ikea, and I had enough energy to make some furniture decisions. I ended up buying: the blue Henmes drawers, the granitas table (I may hate glass dining tables, but for whatever reason, I liked this one. If I stop liking it, I can throw a tablecloth over it), the poang chair and ottoman, and some other random stuff.
